Lobby Corps

If you are interested in state level legislation you will want to join Lobby Corps, an activity unique, in Florida, to the Tallahassee League. Because we are in the state capital the League of Women Voters of Florida board and legislative advocate rely on LWV Tallahassee members to help out during Florida legislative sessions.

A call for Lobby Corps volunteers goes out in January or February. After some training, volunteers work just before and during the annual legislative session (March and April in most years).

What does a Lobby Corps volunteer do?

  • Participates in a training session
  • Assists state League lobbyist as requested to track legislation and attend legislative committee meetings

How do I sign up to volunteer?

Send President Teri Cleeland (lwvtallahassee@gmail.com) an email asking to be put on the Lobby Corps list for the next Florida legislative session.
